GREEN ONIONS
- HISTORY #2
Although
G.O.'s versions of blues songs don't sound as radical or hyped as
the originals, their signature is unmistakable: arcane-modern and
still timeless. The blues-roots are definite and sceptics quickly
disovered that the musicians' talents attract the attention of the
audience and that of many of their colleagues.
And it is blues they play indeed. They are still fascinated by the
passion of this music. Some play the blues because they love it,
some because they live it. But whoever substantially covers music
that was hatched before the second world war in the southern USA
by countless legendary figures, cannot be altogether wrong. And
the varied talents of the musicians span music from R. Johnson
to E. Clapton. |
